Local Humanitarian Actors Forum

The Local Humanitarian Actors Forum, funded by Christian Aid, is a platform designed to enhance the capacity of local humanitarian actors in Zimbabwe. We aim to improve emergency response and build resilience in disaster-affected communities through training, resource sharing, and networking.

This initiative is generously funded by Christian Aid.

Our technical partners include Christian Aid Zimbabwe, Methodist Development and Relief Agency (MeDRA), Nutrition Action Zimbabwe (NAZ), Community Technical Development Organisation (CTDO), Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC), and Adventist Relief Agency Zimbabwe (ADRA).

We work with a wide range of local organizations, including ARDeZ, AWET, AQZ, CARC, Christian Care, and many others. A full list is available on our partner’s list.
Knowledge Management System

This system serves as a centralized knowledge repository and Humanitarian Learning Hub for local humanitarian organizations in Zimbabwe.

Toolkits, guidelines, SOPs, best practices, lessons learned, case studies, and more.

We regularly update the information to ensure it reflects current best practices and developments.
Capacity Building & Networking

Through training, resource development, and facilitating stronger partnerships.

Training includes emergency preparedness, needs assessments, project management, and humanitarian standards.

We offer workshops, online forums, and platforms for collaboration.
